Frizington Man Sentenced To Almost Two Years

A man from Frizington been sentenced to one year nine months in prison for sex offences.

Graham Green, 37, of High Stowbank, Frizington was sentenced, November 25, in connection with

  • Two counts of engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl
  • Adult meeting a girl under 16 years of age following grooming

The offences occurred between June 2021 and August 2021 between Green and two girls.

Green pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing on July 25 2022

Detective Constable Alastair Clarke said, “I would urge anyone who has been subject to offences of this nature to come forward, any reports will be taken seriously and will be dealt with professionally and sensitively.

“Green was aware of their age and supplied them with alcohol and cigarettes before subjecting them to a sexual assault. This is results show’s the seriousness taken on these offences.

“Support is available in Cumbria for victims of sexual offences.

“The Constabulary works closely with trusted partner agencies to provide the appropriate support which is tailored to an individual’s circumstances.”

Green was issued with a ten-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will be entered onto the sexual offender’s register.

Green engaged in conversation with a girl via social media before arranging to meet them and supplied them with alcohol and cigarettes.

On one occasion Green picked up the girls and provided them with alcohol and cigarettes and assaulted the girls.
