New Leaders In Lancashire FA Women’s County Leagues

There was plenty of action in the Lancashire FA Women’s County League.

The Cumbrian derby between Kendal Town Women and west coast side Whitehaven AFC was been called off due to a water logged pitch while on Sunday October 30 Chipping Ladies went three points clear at the top of the table with a 3-6 win at St Annes.

Whitehaven AFC have the chance to go top on Sunday November 6 when they head to Blackpool Town Ladies, St Annes also have a chance to go top when play Kendal Town and Sir Tom Finney FC Development host Cadley FC.

The three matches are all a 2pm (14:00) kickoff on Sunday November 6.

There were only two matches in Division One South/East as Astley Bridge’s game with Euxton and Clitheroe Wolves’ match with Penwortham Town were both postponed.

Bury FC Foundation 6-4 Lostock St Gerards, and Horwich St Mary’s 6-0 Darwen FC.

Both Euxton Girls and Penwortham Town could close the gap to the top when they play Lostock St Gerard’s and Bury FC Foundation.

Astley Bridge host AFC Wigan while Clitheroe Wolves face Darwen FC.

All four matches are a 2pm (14:00) kickoff on Sunday November 6.

In the Premier Division there was almost a full round played on Sunday October 30 but Bury FC Foundation match with Fleetwood Town Wrens was postponed.

There are new leaders as Colne FC won 2-0 against Clitheroe Wolves to move above Fleetwood Wrens.

Accrington Stanley lost 2-4 Burnley Belvedere while Stanwix moved off the bottom with a 3-1 win over Darwen FC.

Clone FC and Fleetwood Wrens will battle it out for top spot when they play Bury FC and Accrington Stanley.

Langho host Stanwix while Clitheroe face Burnley in the later kickoff at 3pm (15:00).

Three matches kickoff at 2pm (14:00) on Sunday November 6 while Clitheroe start at 3pm (15:00)

Almost a full round in the Championship on October 30 as Blackpool won 5-0 against Fleetwood to take bragging rights in their derby and Bolton Wanderers won 6-1 in their match with Preston North End.

Both the Cumbrian sides won at home as league leaders GT7 beat Blackburn 2-1 and Penrith AFC win 2-1 against Morecambe.

The only fixture missing was Bolton County’s game against Ladybridge which was postponed.

On November 6 Bolton County face Euxton, Ladybridge take on Bolton Wanderers, Morecambe host Blackpool and Preston North End play Blackburn.

It is Cumbrian derby week a GT7 host Penrith AFC.

All matches are a 2pm (14:00) kickoff.
