Ellenborough Rangers Join Rugby League’s National Conference League

Cumbrian rugby league side Ellenborough Rangers have been successful in their bid to join the National Conference League.

Announced on National Conference League’s Twitter account the Maryport based side will be entering for the 2023 season.

They will be joining Millom, Seaton Rangers and Hensingham in Division Three, with the fixtures yet to be announced all will be watching for the numerous Cumbrian Derbies that will be taking place.

It is not just in Division Three Cumbrians will be watching as in Division Two Barrow Island will be looking to go one step further an win promotion.

In Division One Egremont Rangers will be looking to make it a quick return to the Premier Division and where Kells and Wath Brow Hornets will be hoping to be in the mix for the playoffs.

This news comes on the back of a historic night at Derwent Park, Workington where a Cumbria side beat World Cup entrants Jamaica 28-12.
