Lancashire FA Women’s County Leagues Table Topping Teams Are Back In Action

The Lancashire FA Women’s County League is back in action after reduced fixtures due to cup competitions.

League action returns to the Division One North/West after a break for cup games.

In the last round of matches on October 9 the joint league leaders both recorded big wins with Whitehaven AFC Ladies winning 2-6 at Cadley FC Ladies as Lancaster City FC Ladies won 2-10 away to Sir Tom Finney FC Development Women to sit top on goal difference.

In the other game of the round Chipping Ladies recorded the biggest win of the three with a 12-0 win over Blackpool Town Ladies.

Chipping Ladies face Sir Tom Finney while Cadley FC face Blackpool Town.

All three matches are a 2pm (14:00) kickoff on Sunday October 23.

Two games played the Division One South/East on Sunday October 16 with a 1-4 win for Horwich St Mary’s Ladies over Astley Bridge Ladies moving them joint top with Euxton Girls FC Women and Penwortham Town Ladies Reserves.

While Clitheroe Wolves Ladies Recreational and AFC Wigan Ladies played out a 1-1 draw at the bottom of the table.

Four games are scheduled for Sunday October 23 with the top three in action.

Euxton head to Darwen FC Development while Penwortham Town face Horwich.

At the bottom AFC Wigan face Bury FC Foundation while Clitheroe travel to Lostock St Gerards.

All four matches are a 2pm (14:00) kickoff on Sunday October 23.

In Premier Division Darwen FC Reserves picked up a 4-0 win against Clitheroe Wolves while table toppers Fleetwood Town Wrens Reserves put six past Langho Ladies to run out 6-1 winners.

Second placed Colne FC came away with a 0-7 win against Stanwix Juniors to stay three points behind Fleetwood.

Three games take place on Sunday October 23 with Bury FC Foundation Women Firsts host Clitheroe Wolves Wolves Ladies, Colne FC Ladies travel to Darwen FC Reserves as top versus bottom as league leaders Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies Reserves welcome Stanwix Junior Ladies.

Three games in the Championship as the cup reduced fixtures with Bolton County recording a 6-1 win over Blackburn Community Sports Club Reserves.

The top two were also in action with GT7 Academy Ladies stay four points clear with a 7-2 win over Blackpool FC Girls Development as Euxton Girls Development kept pace with a 1-7 win at Penrith AFC Ladies Development.

A full round of games will take place in the Championship as Blackburn Community Sports Club Reserves host Bolton Wanderers Girls FC Reserves, Euxton Girls Development welcome Blackpool FC Girls Development, table toppers GT7 Academy Ladies take on Morecambe Ladies Development, Penrith AFC Ladies Development face Fleetwood Town Wrens Ladies Development and Preston North End Women FC Preston North play Bolton County Women.
