Cumbria Police are advising people to seek alternate routes as collisions on A595 and A590 are causing delays.

The collision on the A595 happened near Gosforth at about 5.20pm and has led to a closure north of Gosforth.

While emergency services are dealing with a two-vehicle collision on the A590 near Ulverston.

The road is likely to face closures into the early evening following the collision, reported just before 4pm today in the Swarthmoor area.

As a result, motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible and seek alternative routes, such as the Coast Road.

The collision involved two vehicles.

No life-threatening injuries are reported at this time.
