Harrington Marina Day has been cancelled and Workington Town Council have stepped back from the event.

In a statement released the Town Council they said: “Harrington Marina Day was an event supported by Workington Town Council, unfortunately, as this event has not been progressed by the organiser, Workington Town Council are no longer able to assist.

“We regret the inconvenience and never like to disappoint the people of Workington.”

The Town Council also reminded people about the other upcoming events they have planned through the summer saying: “There are other events available throughout the summer, including Science Booth Workshops, Teddy Bear’s Picnic, Festival of Running, Crystal Kid’s Club, StoryTime Yoga, Yoga in the Park, Mother and Baby Circle, Crafty Workshop Activities, Muay Tie Fitness, Bowling Sessions, Rugby Sessions and Mental Health Awareness Sessions.”

All of these activities are provided free of charge thanks to funding from Workington Town Council and Allerdale Borough Council.
