Changes at the top of the Andrea Buggy Women’s League.
On Wednesday June 15, Cockermouth Highfield Ladies beat Whitehaven AFC 3-2 with two for Kate Scott and Sophie Nutter giving Cockermouth the win while Lissy Close and Leila Branthwaite were on target for Whitehaven.
While the scoring makes it look comfortable Newlaithes Ladies 4-0 away at Penrith AFC Ladies Rubies was not decided until the last five minutes.
With two goals for Vicky Buzniak with Chelsea Norris and Lauren Ullyart with the other two as Newlaithes moved top.
On the end of another defeat Kendal United Ladies lost 2-8 to Abbeytown Ladies with four for Kate Brown as Lucy Carr, Abbie Woodburn, Caitlyn Harrison, Katie Wills chipping in.
At Rickerby Park, Stanwix Junior Ladies won 2-0 against Workington Diamond Ladies with Anna Burgess and Sophie Bird scoring for Stanwix.
Vickerstown Ladies picked up a 6-0 win over Allerdale Wildcats.
The next round takes place on Wednesday June 22 with Newlaithes Ladies at home to Cockermouth Highfield Ladies and Whitehaven AFC Ladies hosting Stanwix Juniors Ladies.
Abbeytown Ladies face Vickerstown Ladies, Allerdale Wildcats play Penrith AFC Ladies Rubies and Workington Diamonds host Xtreme Fitness Ladies.
All matches are 19:15 (7:15pm) kickoff.
