Two Charged Following Affray In Cleator Moor

Two teenagers have been charged in connection with disorder and anti-social in Cleator Moor.

On Friday, March, 4 2022, Cumbria Constabulary arrested the pair in connection with disorder and anti-social behaviour in Cleator Moor at Market Street

A 15-year-old boy, from Whitehaven, was charged in connection with affray and shoplifting and due to appear on July 1.

A 15-year-old girl, from Cleator Moor, was charged in connection with affray and is due to appear on June 10.

A 16-year-old girl was also given a youth conditional caution for affray.

Affray is covered under the Public Order Act 1986 and is “if he uses or threatens unlawful violence towards another and his conduct is such as would cause a person of reasonable firmness present at the scene to fear for his personal safety.”
