Wath Brow Hornets Win Derby With Egremont Rangers In The National Conference League

By Robert Haile

The only game in the National Conference League provided plenty of tries in a Cumbrian derby.

On a sunny Saturday May 28, Egremont Rangers welcomed neighbours Wath Brow Hornets to Gillfoot.

It was an eight try display by the Hornets as they ran out 0-48 winners.

There were two tries for Nathan Lucock and Dean Rooney, Ellison Holgate, Owen McCartney and Cole Walker-Taylor all chipped in with one each with Walker-Taylor having a successful day kicking all end eight conversions.

Both sides are back in action next weekend with away trips as Egremont Rangers head to fellow lower table side Leigh Miners Rangers as Wath Brow Hornets head to Rochdale Mayfield.
