Egremont Rangers Face Wath Brow Hornets In The National Conference League

By Robert Haile

There is only one game in the National Conference League this weekend but it could not be more important.

On Saturday May 28, Egremont Rangers welcome neighbours Wath Brow Hornets to Gillfoot.

This is the return fixture of the game that was shown on the OURLEAGUE app back on Saturday April 16.

In that fixture Wath Brow Hornets sent Egremont Rangers home with a 26-14 defeat though it was a late Hornets try that put the game out of Rangers reach.

While derby victories are important the two points that the game brings will be the target as Egremont are currently second bottom and would move up to third with a win by any margin as they have a better points difference to Thornhill Trojans and then would be two points behind Leigh Miners Rangers.

For the Hornets a win would lift them up into fourth above Lock Lane but still two points off third and four off West Hull in first.

The match starts at 1pm (13:00) with entry for adults £3 and concessions £2.
