Whitehaven AFC Ladies stay at the top of the Andrea Buggy Women’s League as Penrith AFC Ladies move into second.
On Wednesday May 18 Whitehaven AFC Ladies stayed top as Jodie Clarke, Sophie May and Ashleigh Mcallister were on target in a 3-0 win against Abbeytown Ladies.
Sitting second Penrith AFC Ladies played out a 1-1 draw with Stanwix Ladies with Maisy Robinson on target for Stanwix.
An ex-England international was in attendance as Carol Thomas watched Allerdale Wildcats lose 0-8 to Newlaithes Ladies.
The goal scorers for Newlaithes were Nicola Smith with four, Sophie Richardson with two and Carly Green, and an own goal took the total to eight.
Vickerstown Ladies were beaten 1-4 by Xtreme Fitness Ladies with three goals on her debut for Chole Henderson and Tiffany Lamb scoring as well.
Kendal United Ladies lost 0-4 to Workington Diamonds.
On Wednesday May 25, Newlaithes Ladies are at home to Abbeytown Ladies, Stanwix Ladies host Cockermouth Highfield Ladies, Whitehaven AFC Ladies play Kendal United Ladies, Workington Diamonds face Vickerstown Ladies and Xtreme Fitness Ladies play Penrith AFC Ladies.
