Three Day Free Festival At Loreburn Hall

Audiences will be welcomed into Loreburn Hall for the venue’s first live event of the year as organisers of Big Burns Supper present a three-day, free event to celebrate the bank holiday weekend.

Opening on Friday April 29 at 3pm, the weekend will be host to a variety of local bands and tribute bands across three different venues.

Allison McLellan, Head of Operations at Loreburn Hall said: “We’re so excited to welcome our audience to our first live event since 2020, so they can fully experience the space, and come together for a well-needed celebration.”

It offers the chance to see Cumbrian duo A Little Of Us who are first on Friday’s bill, plus bands and musicians from south-west Cumbria including The Wise Guys, LOKA, Guillaume Tiberghien, and The Meanies.

The Marley Experience are a seven-piece band, the ultimate tribute to Bob Marley and the Wailers, covering all of the classic hits and singalong songs.

The Complete Stone Roses are no stranger to Dumfries, having played in the Spiegeltent in January 2018.

The most coveted Stone Roses tribute band have been playing together for over a decade, touring all over the world, to sold-out audiences.

Rocketman, the UK’s number one Elton John act, has been seen globally with rave reviews, and is a life-like tribute to the man himself, including authentic replica costumes, a baby grand piano, and those classic Elton glasses.

Abba Revival will be making a return to Dumfries after their last performance at Big Burns Supper 2019.

The band’s interactive show encapsulates the sights and sounds of Abba, fully reproducing hit after hit.

Mercury: Queen Tribute Band are celebrating their 20th anniversary. Their choreographed stage show includes stardom, showmanship and energetic performances together with excellent musicianship, beautifully crafted harmonies and intricate guitar work.

Each day will also showcase a range of local acts across the 11 hour sessions.

The Loreburn Hall features three unique venues including the main stage, the Le Haggis Lounge which will host unique cabaret and jazz experiences, and the Studio Space for those magical, intimate performances.
