Penrith AFC And Whitehaven AFC Set Early Pace In Andrea Buggy Women’s League

Only four games took place as the Andrea Buggy Women’s League continued with Penrith AFC Ladies and Whitehaven AFC Ladies early leaders.

On Wednesday, April 20, Workington Diamonds started their season at home to Whitehaven AFC Ladies with a 1-9 defeat as Rebecca Buchanan and Ashleigh McAllister scored four with Morgan McGrady on the scoresheet as well for Whitehaven.

Penrith AFC Ladies put 13 past Kendal United as they ran out 13-2 winners.

Cockermouth Highfield Ladies lost 1-2 to Abbeytown Ladies as Stanwix Ladies recorded a 2-0 win over Allerdale Wildcats.

The match between Xtreme Fitness Ladies and Newlaithes Ladies was postponed.

The fixtures for Wednesday, April 27 have Abbeytown Ladies facing Stanwix Ladies, Kendal United Ladies host Cockermouth Highfield Ladies, Vickerstown Ladies host Penrith AFC Ladies and Xtreme Fitness Ladies face Allerdale Wildcats.

For the second week running Newlaithes Ladies game has been postponed this time against Workington Diamonds.

All matches are 19:00 (7pm) kickoff.
