Public Invited To Cumbria Fire And Rescue Service For County-Wide Charity Car Wash

Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service crews will be hosting car washes over the weekend of Saturday April 2 and Sunday April 3 in aid of the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal to help raise vital funds for the people of Ukraine.

Paul Milburn, Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service’s Station Manager and Charity Liaison Lead, said: “The people of Ukraine continue to be in our thoughts during this time.

“We stand in solidarity as we do whatever we can to support all those affected by the devastating and tragic events that continue to unfold.

“Please come down to your local fire station events to get your car cleaned while supporting the Ukrainian people and communities.

“All donations will be welcomed.”

Teams from the Service will be washing cars and in return, Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service ask members of the public to make a donation, however small, to support the humanitarian crisis.
