Mixed Results For Cumbrian Rugby League Sides In The National Conference Leagues

An action packed day of rugby league provided thrills and bragging rights in the National Conference League.

In the Premier Division West Hull, Wath Brow Hornets and Thatto Heath Crusaders picked up wins to sit joint top of the table.

While Egremont Rangers, Siddal and Lock Lane all picked up their first win of the season.

York Acorn, Pilkington Recs and Thornhill Trojans are all looking for their first win after defeats to Lock Lane, Egremont Rangers and Wath Brow Hornets.

Division One all teams have now played one game with Oulton Raiders and Skirlaugh sitting top with two wins.

Kells opened their season with a home win at home to West Bowling and sit third.

Stanningley, Hull Dockers and Ince Rose Bridge all won while Saddleworth Rangers, Featherstone Lions, Milford and Myton Warriors are still looking for their first win.

Bradford Dudley Hill, Dewsbury Moor Maroons, Beverley and Wigan St Judes sit at the bottom of Division Two.

Heworth, Barrow Island and Woolston Rovers picked up their first win while Crosfields, Normanton Knights and Clock Face Miners sit joint top with two wins.

The first Cumbrian derby of the season Seaton Rangers took the bragging rights with a 14-12 win over Hensingham to sit joint top with East Leeds and Waterhead Warriors after they both picked up maximum points as well.

Drighlington, Oldham St Annes and Shaw Cross Sharks all opened their account with wins leaving Millom, Eastmoor Dragons and Hensingham pointless and bottom.
