16-Year-Old Barrow-In-Furness Boy Arrested On Suspicion Of Assault

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning in grievous bodily harm.

Cumbria Police made the arrest this morning, Tuesday May11, after attending an incident yesterday, Monday May 10.

The incident occurred at around 6pm, yesterday, in Barrow Park, Abbey Road, leading to police and ambulance services attended the scene.

A 16-year-old boy was taken to Furness General Hospital with head injuries – the boy was later transferred to Alder Hey Hospital, Liverpool.

His injuries are not believed to be life-changing at this time.
