Cumbria Police Launch Appeal Following Maryport Collision Leaving Man Seriously Injured

Cumbria Police is appealing for information as part of an investigation into a serious road traffic collision which occurred in Maryport.

The incident occurred at approximately 8.45pm on Thursday, May 6, on Victory Crescent.

A pedal cyclist, a 56-year old man, from Maryport, was found in the road after falling from his bicycle.

He was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary and remains in a critical condition.

Collision investigation officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.

Anyone with information should contact 101, quoting incident number 211 of May 6 and ask to speak to an officer in the Constabulary’s Mobile Support Group.
