A Barrow man has been arrested on suspicion on murder, police have confirmed.
Last night, Friday June 12, police were called to a scene in the Broad Close of Barrow-in-Furness after reports a man had been stabbed.
The victim was a man, believed to be in his late 40’s, was taken to Furness General Hospital but, unfortunately, died a short time later.
The man is yet to be formally identified.
As a result of initial scene enquiries, a local man aged 63-years-old was arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently detained.
Police are appealing for anyone with information or anyone who witnessed this incident to call police on 101 quoting log 198 of June12.
