West Cumbrian man given a Criminal Behaviour Order banning him from Co-op, Greggs and Boots

A West Cumbrian man has been given a Criminal Behaviour Order banning him from the Co-op, Greggs and Boots.

The order was secured on 8 April against Mark Timney, 55, Egremont.

For two years, the conditions are Timney must not enter any of the shops on the Whitehaven Shop Watch Scheme or any shops displaying the Whitehaven Shop Watch Scheme logo or enter the Co-op, Greggs or Boots on Main Street, Egremont.

The Criminal Behaviour Order follows Timney appearing at court where he pleaded guilty of breaching a criminal behaviour order and theft from B&M in Whitehaven on February 20.

He was also given a rehabilitation activity and a financial penalty.

Anyone who witnesses the terms of such a court order being broken to contact the police immediately.

The punishment for breaking the terms of a CBO can be up to five years in prison
