Millom Town Deal project making progress as swimming pool tested

Millom Town Deal project, Activating Community Health, is making progress as the swimming pool is filled and tested.

Clear progress is being made across the site of the new Millom Leisure Centre.

Inside, the swimming pool has been filled with water as part of its stabilisation testing, with monitoring equipment tracking the structure ahead of the next phase.

Elsewhere, internal masonry walls are taking shape, with blockwork now visible throughout corridors and rooms.

Roof decking is also complete over the sports hall and surrounding spaces, supported by prepared and coated structural steelwork.

New aluminium windows have also been installed along the existing gym, and internal preparations are underway to connect the school link corridor.

External cladding is now nearing completion and glazing has been fitted to the swimming pool and studio areas, giving a strong sense of the building’s final look and feel.
