The picturesque Ravenglass estuary

While you may know St Patrick as the patron saint of Ireland, it might surprise you to learn that he may have been Cumbrian, with some historians believing he may have even been born in Ravenglass.

The St Patrick’s Birthplace Festival celebrates this heritage by bringing history, culture and, most importantly, fun to the heart of Ravenglass.

Guests can expect:

  • Live music throughout the village.
  • A variety of curated food and drink offerings.
  • A warm, family-friendly environment across the venues.
  • A unique celebration of community, history and heritage.

The St Patrick’s Birthplace Festival has been organised by Muncaster Parish Council, with sponsorship from Hyperfast GB and Fibrus, and support from Muncaster, The Pennington Hotel, The Inn at Ravenglass, Muncaster Parish Hall, The Ratty Arms.

This is a free event, welcoming everyone to come and enjoy the sights, sounds, and spirit of Ravenglass.
