Commonwealth Games: Winter Olympic Curling medalist try Bowls ahead of Glasgow 2026

As the build up to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow starts to gather pace the Winter Olympic Curling silver medalists swapped stones and brushes for bowls and jacks.

Scottish bowling legends Paul Foster MBE, Garry Brown and Natalie McWilliams put Team GB’s double Winter Olympic silver medallists through their paces in a bowls masterclass at West of Scotland indoor bowling club.

Following the curling hype from this year’s Winter Olympics, Bruce Mouat, Hammie McMillan Jr and Bobby Lammie tried their hand at bowls, seeing what skills they can use from their curling while the bowlers made it look easy.

Both teams highlighted the importance of the fans in nail biting moments, which is exactly what’s to come at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games this summer.

Running from July 23 to August 2 Bowls fans, can be part of the action, with tickets now available at glasgow2026.com.
