FlexiRental backs inclusive community club Alliance FC and its mental health mission.
Expanding Cumbrian vehicle leasing business FlexiRental has announced its support and sponsorship of Alliance FC, reinforcing its commitment to inclusion, grassroots sport and tackling mental health challenges across West Cumbria.

Alliance FC is an inclusive, community-driven football club providing opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.
From Open Age and Veterans football to Walking Football, Mental Health 6-a-side and Under 16s teams competing in local leagues.
The club exists to create genuine pathways into the game, whether that’s for competition, wellbeing or simply belonging.
What particularly resonated with FlexiRental was the club’s proactive approach to men’s mental health, using football as a safe and accessible space for conversation, connection and support, helping ensure the sport remains inclusive and welcoming to all.
FlexiRental, part of Lakeland Fleet Management Ltd and based in Carlisle, has been expanding its footprint across West Cumbria in recent months.
Alongside its backing of the region’s major rugby league clubs, the business has made a clear commitment to invest in organisations that reflect the values of the communities they serve.
Daley Rogers, Business Development & Marketing Lead at FlexiRental, said: “Alliance FC is doing something genuinely important.
“Tackling mental health in men isn’t always easy to speak about, but football gives people a reason to come together, connect and open up.
“As a Cumbrian business expanding further into West Cumbria, we believe it’s vital that sport remains inclusive and accessible.
“The work this club is doing goes far beyond results on a Saturday, it’s about belonging.
We have huge respect for what Kirk and the team have built in such a short space of time.”
Alliance FC was founded by Kirk McGrady, a full-time employee at Sellafield who dedicates his spare time to building opportunities for his community through football.
In its first year, the club has grown through the support of sponsors and members into a thriving and inclusive organisation rooted in opportunity and respect.
Founder of Alliance FC, Kirk McGrady said: “As a former member of the Armed Forces, I’ve seen first-hand the impact poor mental health can have.
“But losing someone very close to me to suicide was the real turning point.
“It made things personal, and it made me determined to do something meaningful within my own community.
“I passionately believe exercise has a huge positive impact on mental wellbeing.
“But just as important is creating an environment where people feel comfortable, enjoy themselves, and, most importantly, can talk openly with others who understand what they’re going through.
“No judgement. Just support and a kickabout”
The sponsorship will support Alliance FC’s continued growth and allow the club to expand its inclusive programmes across West Cumbria.
The partnership forms part of FlexiRental’s wider strategy to ensure that as the business grows commercially, it continues to invest meaningfully in the people and initiatives that strengthen communities across the region.
FlexiRental provides flexible, all-inclusive vehicle leasing packages covering maintenance, tyres and breakdown support, helping businesses operate with confidence and reliability.
