Cumbria Police has appealed for missing Maryport man, Sean McAvoy.

Sean is 49-years-old and was last seen in Workington on the morning of February 5, 2026.

Sean is described as white and around 5ft 7ins tall. He is of a stocky build with short brown hair and stubble.

Officers are concerned for his welfare and are encouraging anyone who has information on his whereabouts, including Sean himself, to get in touch.

A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: “He was last seen wearing a grey bobble hat, a blue Adidas zip-up tracksuit top and black tracksuit bottoms.

“Sean has links to Whitehaven, Workington and Carlisle and may have travelled to Carlisle since he was last seen.

“Anyone with knowledge of Sean’s whereabouts is urged to contact police.
