Nominations for the election of a new councillor to Seascale Parish are set to close ahead of potential New Year election.

The deadline for nomination papers to be submitted for a potential election for a seat on Seascale Parish Council is 4pm on Tuesday, December 23.

A notice of election was published last week for Seascale Parish Council, for the election of one parish councillor.

Nomination papers may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, Cumberland Council, Allerdale House, New Bridge Road, Workington, CA14 3YJ, during the times stated below.

Nomination papers must be delivered to the above address between 10am and 4pm but no later than 4pm on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.

If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, January 22, 2026.
