Whitehaven AFC are looking for a new manager and assistant manager after both stand down.
First team manager Jon Karl Benson and assistant manager Dean Wright have stood down from their positions the club have announced.
A spokesperson for Whitehaven AFC said: “The club can confirm that Jon Karl Benson, First Team Manager has stood down with immediate effect.
“Assistant Manager Dean Wright will also leave the club.
“We would like to put on record our thanks to Jon Karl for his efforts over the past few years and wish him well with the future.”
Matty Branthwaite, Scott Pears and David Hodgson will take over First team duties as they continue their West Lancashire League campaign.
It will be a difficult first game as the team make the trip to unbeaten league leaders Eagley on Saturday, October 25.
The club have released a description of what they would want the new manager to bring.
Asking them to “create a positive, disciplined, and inclusive football environment that reflects the values and ambitions of the club, working closely with the clubs pathway leads and reserves management.”
