Josh MacAlister, MP for Whitehaven & Workington, has launched his first Christmas card competition.

The MP is inviting local people to submit photographs that capture the very best of West Cumbria, from our coastline and fells to our towns, villages, and community spirit.

Josh said: “Every year I’m blown away by the talent and pride on show in West Cumbria.

“I’m looking for striking photographs that celebrate what makes our area special, our landscapes, heritage, wildlife, and the people who bring our communities to life. 

“I can’t wait to showcase the winning image on my Christmas card and share West Cumbria with friends and colleagues across the country.”

The competition is open to residents, schools, community groups, and businesses in West Cumbria.

The winning image will feature on Josh’s 2025 Christmas card both printed and digital, with full credit.

Entries should be emailed to hello@joshmacalister.uk by 5pm (17:00) on Friday, October 31.
