Runners attending Whitehaven Parkrun might have been surprised to see people in pyjamas as one runner marked their 200th run.
A number of volunteers and participants donned their best pyjamas to celebrate Chris Robson’s 200th Parkrun in a unique way.
Emma explained why the unique clothing was chosen saying: “We chose to do this after the time he rocked up to run one day, in his Christmas pj’s.
“No-one noticed until he pointed out what he was wearing at the end of the 5k.”

Chris completed his first parkrun at Whitehaven on September 15, 2018, just a few weeks after Whitehaven parkrun started.
He has been with them ever since and completed just three parkruns elsewhere.
At Whitehaven he still holds the age category records for Vet Male 80-84 and 85-89.

Emma said: “He is a wonderful man and it was so special to be able to celebrate with him, on this amazing milestone.
“I could comment about his age, but he’s just an incredible man.
“We’re incredibly proud of him.”
Parkrun is a volunteer ran event that takes place around the country.
Whitehaven Parkrun takes place on Saturday morning at 9am with participants needing to register online before attending.
Runners can register at the Parkrun website here.
