Lakes College celebrates higher education student’s success at graduation ceremony

Lakes College’s higher education students have been celebrating their achievements and success with a graduation ceremony.

Learners graduated from a range of programmes, including social care, human resources, education, engineering, nuclear and science.

The ceremony was hosted by college Principal Chris Nattress, who congratulated the graduates, saying: “On behalf of everyone here at Lakes College, congratulations to all our graduates and award winners celebrating their achievements at our annual Graduation Ceremony.

“It’s wonderful to see all your hard work and commitment paying off, and a real pleasure to join with you and your family, friends and loved ones to say very well done.”

Chief Executive Officer and Founder of McMenon Engineering Anand Puthran

Chief Executive Officer and Founder of McMenon Engineering Anand Puthran was the guest speaker for the evening, sharing his career journey with the graduates, and reflecting on the importance of innovation, resilience and ambition in shaping future success.

The graduation of students was presented by Vice Principal Iain Glendinning, who invited each graduate up to the stage, where they were handed their scroll.

Student Speaker Cam Walker, who completed her Level 5 CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management, delivered the student address.

She reflected on her journey through the course and spoke about the doors that higher education at Lakes College has opened for both herself and her fellow graduates.

Later in the evening, individual students were recognised for exceptional accomplishments through the Academic Excellence Award, Endeavour Award, Outstanding Achievement Award and the Inspiring Student Award.
