Wearside League: Gateshead Leam Rangers continue impressive start to the season

Gateshead Leam Rangers continued their impressive start to the season in the Wearside League.

The Wearside League weekend served up plenty of goals and drama across its divisions on and Saturday, September 13.

In the Premier Division, Washington FC sent out a strong message with a resounding 5–0 victory at Annfield Plain.

The result tightened their grip on the chasing pack and boosted their goal difference significantly.

Leaders Gateshead Leam Rangers also underlined their title credentials, running out 2–0 winners against Windscale AFC, to maintain their advantage at the top.

Seaton Carew Seniors produced one of the standout performances of the day, dismantling Easington Lane FC with a commanding 6–1 win, while Willington AFC kept pace in the upper half of the table with a solid 2–0 success away at Shotton Colliery.

In the First Division, Middlestone Moor overcame FC Hartlepool Reserves with a 3–1 win, keeping themselves in contention near the summit.

Jarrow Reserves FC mirrored that scoreline in the Second Division, seeing off Easington Lane Reserves.

The Third Division delivered further entertainment as Consett AFC Reserves overcame Billingham Synthonia Reserves 3–1, maintaining their early-season momentum.
