The final man was sentenced for their role in the below drug supply conspiracy.
Kyle Dooley, aged 29, of Everton Walk, Manchester was jailed for 6 years and 7 months at Carlisle Crown Court on Tuesday, September 9.
This follows the jailing of Anthony Shaw, aged 35, for five years Kian Bobmanuel, aged 25 of Emmet Street, Manchester for 32 months, Sean Darbyshire, aged 22 of Lowther Street, Carlisle for three years and Reece Lomas, aged 19, of Bury Old Road, Bury for 27 months on August 29.
Speaking after the sentencing in August, DC Tim Prangnell of the Cumberland Serious and Organised Crime Unit said: “These criminals thought that dealing drugs far from their hometowns would mean they could operate under the radar.
“And yet having conspired together to bring crack cocaine from Manchester to the streets of Carlisle, within an hour of starting up their drugs phone line they had been caught, in a collaboration between Merseyside, Cumbria and Greater Manchester.
“We work with other forces across the UK on a daily basis, pursuing those intent on making money off other’s misery. This case is simply one example.”
Following the arrests of the group of men, Greater Manchester Police executed a search warrant at the home address of Dooley, in a luxury block of flats, on January 27 2025.
From an air fryer in the kitchen, they recovered Heroin, Cocaine, Crack Cocaine and Cannabis, valued at over £28,000.
Enquiries identified that Shaw had travelled to Manchester, met with Bobmanuel and then they visited Dooley’s flat on January 21, where a meeting was held and Dooley agreed to supply crack cocaine to Shaw to start his drug supply business in Carlisle.
