Penrith AFC Ladies has confirmed that Jamie Fitzwilliams has stepped down from his role as First Team Manager with immediate effect.
In a statement released by the club on social media they confirmed the departure.
“Jamie has been a hugely valued part of the club for the past three years, giving his time, energy, and passion throughout his role.
“During his tenure, he guided us to two top-three finishes in the North West Women’s Regional League, two FA Cup First Round Proper qualifications, and a County Cup victory.
“These achievements reflect the hard work and commitment he has given to the club, and we are extremely grateful for everything he has contributed. We wish him every success in the future.
“In the meantime, our captain Kim McCormick will step into the role of interim manager, ensuring continuity and stability as we move forward.
“We understand that changes like this may naturally lead to discussion, but as a club we remain fully committed to acting with professionalism and unity.
“Our goals and ambitions for the 2025/26 season remain unchanged, and the progress we have made together will continue.”
Penrith AFC Ladies have had a good start to their 2025/26 North West Women’s Regional League campaign sitting third after five games.
They are also in Adobe Women’s FA Cup action on Sunday, September 7, as they welcome Boro Rangers FC Women
