A quartet has completed the Benidorm Bangers Run to the Sun raising £3,000 for Eden Valley.

In May Mark, Mike, Jonnie and Paul took part in the Benidorm Bangers Run to the Sun driving from Carlisle to Benidorm in memory of Mark’s father Gil.

Using Gil’s Fiat Punto they raised £3,845.13 for Eden Valley Hospice where Gil spent his last days.

A spokesperson for Eden Valley Hospice said: “Thank you. Mark, Mike, Jonnie and Paul raised £3,845.13.

“In May, they took part in the Benidorm Bangers Run to the Sun, driving from Carlisle to Benidorm to raise funds for Eden Valley Hospice in memory of Marks’s father in law Gil, in Gil’s Fiat Punto.

“Gil spent his last days at the hospice in September 2023.

“Gil’s family were grateful that the hospice made what was a very difficult time, a little bit easier.

“Gil’s family wanted to give back, to ensure the hospice can provide care for local families for years to come.

“It’s thanks to the generosity of our fundraisers and supporters that the hospice can provide expert care for everyone who needs it.

“To our Benidorm Bangers team, thank you for all you have done for your hospice, our patients and their families.”
