Police searching for a missing 15-year-old Cumbrian boy have recovered a body. 

William Pedley was reported missing on Wednesday, August 27. 

The 15-year-old was last seen near Kirkby Lonsdale.

However, in their effort to locate the teenager, police have recovered a body on Thursday, August 28. 

The body was located in the Barbon area. 

Police have said his death is not being treated as suspicious at this time. 

A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: “William’s family have been informed.

“Police would like to thank everyone who shared the missing person appeal and the partner agencies and members of the public for their assistance in the searches.”
