Cumbria Police have installed additional CCTV cameras after an incident of suspected religiously aggravated criminal damage.
The cameras have been installed to help prevent and detect crime in the local community after Officers attended a Methodist church on Hartington Street, Barrow.
Cumbria Police are aware of speculation online regarding attendance at the church at around 1pm on August 26, after receiving a report of criminal damage to the building.
The incident is being investigated as religiously aggravated damage due to the location of the offence.
A teenage boy was arrested on suspicion of religiously aggravated criminal damage.
Officers will continue to carry out patrols in the area providing reassurance and engagement with the local community.
