Keswick School pupils have been celebrated on A-Level results day with the Headmaster calling them ‘conscientious, hardworking and great role models’.
On one of the students most stressful days they have been celebrating with ‘outstanding’ A-level results.

Headteacher Simon Jackson, paid tribute to the outgoing students saying: “I would like pay tribute to our outstanding students.
“They are conscientious, hardworking and great role models for our younger students.
“Over their time at Keswick School they have grown as individuals and acquired the skills and values that I hope will help them achieve their ambitions in the future.
“Almost every student has secured their first-choice course at university or an apprenticeship.
“This is the success that we are celebrating today. Their achievements are a reflection on the dedication of our team of specialist teachers and associate staff.
“It is now important that these terrific young people look forward to bright and very optimistic future.”
18 students achieved straight A*/A grades in three or four A-level subjects and 30 students achieved two or more A*/A grades.

Keswick students now look forward to starting courses at Oxford, UCL, Bristol and Durham universities amongst others and degree apprenticeships with some of the most prestigious companies in the UK.
Chair of Keswick School Multi-Academy Trust, David Hammond said: “Congratulations to all our sixth form students on achieving a superb set of results.
“They are a credit to our school and a wonderful example for all their contemporaries, and I wish them well as they start the next stage of their lives.
“I thank our dedicated teaching, pastoral and support staff who deliver high quality teaching and support to enable students to learn whilst staying calm and contented.
“I also acknowledge the work of our Governors and Senior Leadership team who create the environment in which this can take place, so students effectively learn and excel.”
The results reflect the extremely high standards in teaching and learning delivered by dedicated, specialist teachers.
The Sixth Form students exhibit an exemplary behaviour and attitude in school.
With the school stating that unsurprisingly this percolates down to the younger students, many of whom are supported by the Sixth Form through peer mentoring and subject coaching.

As a result, the younger students become more aspirational and motivated to achieve their potential too.
This was recognised in the recent Ofsted inspection (April 2024) where the school was graded as ‘outstanding’ in every category.
The Ofsted inspectors noted that ‘students in the sixth form flourish’ and Keswick School added it is wonderful to see this translated once again intogrades that will ensure they can continue in their learning journeys beyond school.
