West Cumbria Bowls Leagues: Triples and Fours head into final rounds with all to play for

As the Triples and Fours head into the final rounds Maryport and Workington A will be looking to seal the league titles.

West Cumbria Fours League

After two rounds of games Workington A lead at the top has been cut with Whitehaven A joining them at the top.

On Friday, July 25, the top two met with Workington A taking a 4-3 win at Whitehaven A as Cleator Moor came away with a 4-3 win at Maryport.

Seaton moved up the table with a 5-2 win over Workington B as Vulcan Park win 5-2 at home to Whitehaven B.

Results from the next round on August 1, Whitehaven A drew level at the top with a 7-0 win over Fitz Park as Cleator Moor won 5-2 against Vulcan Park to move into third.

Seaton moved three points clear of Maryport after a 5-2 win over Whitehaven B as Workington B lost 4-3 to Maryport.

In a rearranged game on Wednesday, August 6, Cleator Moor moved four points off top with a 7-0 win at home to Workington B.

As the season heads towards its conclusion Workington A face Cleator Moor on Friday, August 8, as Fitz Park host Vulcan Park.

Workington B head to Whitehaven B and Maryport welcome Seaston.

West Cumbria Mixed Triples League

Maryport continue to top the league with a 7-2 win against Harris Park B on Tuesday, July 22.

Sixteen points back Whitehaven A won 5-4 at Seascale while Workington B beat Croft 5-4 and Harris Park A dented Workington A title hopes with a 5-4 win.

Vulcan Park moved up the table with a 9-0 victory over Egremont as Seaton beat Wigton 5-4 and Whitehaven B struggles continued with a 7-2 deafest at home to Cleator Moor.

Egremont picked up a 9-0 win over Harris Park A on Friday, July 25.

The Knockout Cup finalists have been decided with Workington A facing Seaton.

In the semi-finals Workington A defeated Whitehaven A 5-4 while Seaton defeated Wigton 5-4.

The date and venue for the final are yet to be arranged.
