Barrow AFC have completed the signing of former Rangers striker Kane Hemmings on a one-year deal.
The 33-year-old has had a brief stint on trial with Barrow across pre-season, featuring in the friendly game against Bolton Wanderers last week.
Speaking about joining Barrow, he said: “Yeah, obviously I’m delighted to be here, it’s been a long summer, and I’ve had to be patient, but after speaking to the Gaffer, I played in the game last week, so things have progressed since then and I’m happy to be here.”

The 6ft forward spent last season in SkyBet League Two with Crewe Alexandra, where he played 20 league games, scoring four times.
Looking back to the start of his career, he came through the ranks at Scottish giants Rangers.
While with the Glasgow side, he made his debut in a UEFA Champions League Qualifier against Malmö FF.
In total, he played 10 times for Rangers before stepping into the Scottish Championship to sign for Cowdenbeath initially on loan, before joining them permanently ahead of the 2013/2014 campaign.
A stellar 23-goal campaign followed before Hemmings earned a permanent move to Barnsley in the summer of 2014.
After one year at Barnsley, he signed for Dundee FC in the Scottish Premiership.
Another sensational campaign followed, with a combined 29 goals in all competitions.
Spells at Oxford United, Mansfield Town, and Notts County all followed in the coming years, before Hemmings was reunited with Dundee in the summer of 2019.
During his latest spell in Scotland, Hemmings again proved lethal, bagging ten goals before the season was postponed due to COVID.
Ahead of the 2020/2021 season, the 33-year-old joined Burton Albion in League One, where he played 63 matches across the next 17 months, scoring 20 goals.
He added: “I know some of the boys, I’ve obviously played against them for a long time as well, so it was fine, and I felt really welcomed straight away, so I’m really grateful for that.”
Spells with Stevenage, Tranmere Rovers, and Crewe followed before Hemmings signed for Barrow.
