West Cumbria Bowls Leagues: Wet weather halts play but Whitehaven, Maryport and Seascale matches survive

Wet weather has halted play in the West Cumbria Bowls League but Maryport and Seascale Triples league matches and Whitehaven’ Fours league match survived.

West Cumbria Fours League

Just the one game survived the weather on Friday, June 27, with Whitehaven A moving in joint second after a 5-2 win at home to Vulcan Park.

The first game of July on Friday 4, the top four are all on the road as leaders Workington A head to Seaton while Whitehaven A travel to Maryport.

Cleator Moor make the trip to Whitehaven B and Fitz Park play Workington B.

All matches are a 6:30pm (18:30) start.

West Cumbria Mixed Triples League

There were only two league games to survive the bad weather on Tuesday, June 24, with Maryport racking up a 9-0 win against Whitehaven B and Seascale won 7-2 against Cockermouth side Harris Park B.

The league continues on Tuesday, July 4, as leaders Maryport head to Seaton while Workington B face Workington A and Whitehaven A host Harris Park A.

Fourth placed Seascale head to Wigton as Cleator Moor play Vulcan Park, Egremont travel to Croft and Whitehaven B are also on Cockermouth at Harris Park B.
