Cumbria Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious road traffic collision on the A686 at Hartside.

The crash on June 29, involved two motorcyclists and occurred at around 12.10pm.

A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: “We would like to thank members of the public who stopped at scene to assist and also appeal to any witnesses of the collision to contact Police.

One rider was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains. The second sustained minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
