Trek to Everest Bas Camp raises over £26,000 for St Mary’s Hospice

A team of six dedicated fundraisers have completed the challenge of a lifetime, successfully trekking to Everest Base Camp raising an incredible £26,149 in support of St Mary’s Hospice.

The expedition was expertly organised by LMG Treks and Expeditions, who continue to deliver treks of exceptional quality and safety for charity supporters.

In April the team of Dave, Phil, Paul, two Mikes, and Scott; took on the iconic trek through the Himalayas, braving altitude, tough terrain, and long days of hiking.

Their determination and spirit have not only inspired others but made a meaningful impact on the hospice and the community it serves.

“We are absolutely blown away by what this team has achieved,” said Mel Dixon, Events Manager for St Mary’s Hospice.

“Their commitment, fundraising efforts, and passion for supporting the hospice are truly heartwarming.

“Every penny raised will go toward helping us continue to provide vital end-of-life care across our area.”

Looking ahead, St Mary’s Hospice has a number of exciting overseas treks planned for 2026, offering supporters the opportunity to take on unforgettable adventures while raising funds for an important cause.
