Muncaster Castle’s Head of Experiences, Hannah Clapp is ‘delighted’ at winning the Gold award for the Unsung Hero category in the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.

Representing the Muncaster Castle team and the Western Lake District, Hannah Clapp attended the glittering VisitEngland ceremony in Brighton for the 2025 awards.

Where her outstanding dedication and behind-the-scenes contributions to the visitor experience were celebrated alongside the best in English tourism.

Award winning Head of Experiences Hannah Clapp said: “I am absolutely delighted that all the hard work we put in at Muncaster has been recognised at a national level in the tourism Oscars.

“I could not be happier.

“It is such an exciting time to be at Muncaster and a huge thank you to everyone for their support.”

This national recognition follows her earlier success at the 2024 Cumbria Tourism Awards, where she won the regional Unsung Hero title and secured her place in the VisitEngland finals.

Head of Experiences, Hannah is known for going above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome, all while supporting her colleagues with professionalism and care.
