Cumbria Constabulary’s Detectives investigating a sexual assault and other offences are appealing for witnesses.

The assault occurred at an address in the area of Dalton Avenue, Carlisle on Friday, May 16, at 8am.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to contact officers.

Roger Murphy, 53, of no fixed address and Shane Millea, 50, of Winscale Way, Carlisle, have both been charged with sexual assault, assault causing actual bodily harm, robbery, and intentional strangulation.

They have both been remanded in custody to appear at Carlisle Crown Court on June 16, 2025.
