The 24-year-old departs Kilmarnock after spending over a decade at the Scottish Premiership side, where he made a total of 80 appearances for the senior team.

Upon signing for Barrow, the former Scottish youth international said: “It feels brilliant, I’m really looking forward to getting started.

“Obviously, it’s a new challenge for myself and it’s something I’ve always wanted to do, so I’m really looking forward to getting going.”

Cameron made his Killie debut in 2016, at the age of 16, making him the second youngest player to ever feature for their first team.

After a handful of first-team appearances over the next two seasons, Cameron was loaned out to Stranraer for the duration of the 2018/2019 season.

Playing in League One, he netted ten goals and provided five assists in just 30 outings.

Further loan spells at Scottish Championship sides, Ayr United, Alloa Athletic and Queen Of The South followed before the youngster returned home to his parent club in 2022.

Across the past three years at Killie, Cameron has played 60 matches for the Scottish side across numerous club competitions, including the Europa Conference League.

Bluebirds Head Coach, Whing, also said: “We’re delighted to get Innes on board with us, he’s a striker who is really well suited to the league and we believe he can get even better with us.

“Since we first spoke to him, he’s been eager to join, and I’ve been really impressed that he wants to get out of his comfort zone after being at Kilmarnock since he was 13 years old.

“We’re really excited to be working with Innes and look forward to seeing what he brings us.”
