Workington Town Council is delighted to announce the return of its hugely popular Reach Out Festival.
Taking place on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 11am to 4pm in Vulcan Park.
The free event celebrates health, well-being, and community spirit, bringing together a wide range of local services and activities that help residents look after themselves and their families.

Councillor Ellie Wood, Chair of Workington Town Council’s Culture and Community Committee said: “Our Reach Out event has gone from strength to strength each year and 2025 will showcase over 40 different organisations, charities and services that Workington has to offer.
“The aim of this event is to highlight and showcase the support and guidance that is available to the community to help them in their daily lives.
“We hope that everyone who attends takes away at least one tip or technique to help with their own health and well-being.”
With something for all ages, the festival aims to inspire healthier lifestyles and create connections across the community.
This year’s festival promises a vibrant day of engaging and restorative activities.
Visitors can enjoy yoga, mindfulness and meditation sessions, and a deeply relaxing soundbathexperience.

Families can take part in a health and well-being session aimed at children and their adults, designed to support young people’s mental well-being.
There will also be stress and anxiety support sessions, healthy eating advice, and the opportunity to explore emotional wellness.
In addition, free NHS health checks will be available throughout the day. A variety of sports activities and interactive workshops will round out the day’s offerings.
Local charities, support groups, and healthcare providers will also be on hand to offer advice and information about the vital services they provide in the area.
The event is designed to be both informative and fun, with live demonstrations, interactive stalls, and family-friendly entertainment.
It’s an opportunity for local residents to discover support services they may not have known were available, as well as try something new that could benefit their physical or mental well-being.
