A man in his 20s was found dead at the scene of a fire in a commercial building in Carlisle.

On Tuesday, May 13, at 1:55pm, emergency services, including Cumbria Police and Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service, responded to a fire on James Street, in Carlisle.

Fire crews from Carlisle East, Carlisle West, and Longtown fire stations attended

A man in his 20s was found dead at the scene by firefighters.

A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: “There are no suspicious circumstances at this time.”

A joint enquiry is now underway involving Cumbria Police and Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service.
