Cumbria Police has confirmed they have found a body when searching for a missing Carlisle man. 

On Friday, May 9, police searching for a missing Carlisle man, Barry Thomas, found a body. 

Barry, 52, last left his home on April 29, shortly after 10am, in the Harraby area of Carlisle. 

Hewas last seen in the area Durdar Road close to Low Moor Avenue shortly before 11am that same day.

The body was found at around 1:30pm, on Friday, in the area of Durdar Road, Carlisle.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

The family of Barry Thomas have been informed.
