After a storming introduction to the festival scene, Eat Street Cumbria returns on Bank Holiday with more food, drink and music.
Launching with a one day festival in 2024 the organisers, Lakeland Life Events, have doubled the fun with two days of fun on the Harbour on May 3 and 4.

Taking place opposite Whitehaven Bus Station on Saturday, May 3 from 12pm to 8pm and Sunday, May 4, from 11am to 8pm.
Which food vendors are attending?
With over 4,000 people and 80 percent of vendors selling out in six hours last year, you can be sure they are prepared for the rush this time.

Joining the festival on May 3 and 4 are suppliers from all round the area and they are bringing flavours from around the world to entice and tantalise.
There is something for everyone’s tastes and you will be sure to find at least one that you’ll keep a look out for during the other summer events planned around Cumbria.

After the bar was drank dry Lakeland Life have taken over the running of it for this year and are providing more seats to enjoy the food and local music that is on offer.
What entertainment will be available?
The event is also providing local music with a platform with eight performers playing over the two days.

Also happening is the TEGretail market and it will be taking place on the harbour next to Eat Street Cumbria.
Another Whitehaven favourite, Workington Transport Heritage Trust are bringing the Leyland National buses with several on show and other providing transport to and from the area, older residents can hop on and reminisce.
For the younger generation the fun fair is situated in the Queen‘s Dock carpark.
Where can I park?
There is plenty of parking with Harbour Commissioner, Cumberland Council and private run car parks.
The Harbour Commissioners’ Tangier Street is the closest to the event with Quay Street North and South situated along the harbour side.
Cumberland Council’s carparks are a little further away with the two on Senhouse Street their closest with Sandhills Lane in the centre of town and Catherine Street a little further out.
There are two private ran car parks with Strand Street being on the harbour side and Catherine Street behind the Ravens Nest and police station.
How do I get there?
For those not wanting to take their car the West Coast Mainline train service runs from Carlisle and Barrow.

Alternatively Stagecoach runs three bus routes that will get you into Whitehaven with the Maryport to Thornhill number 30 or Frizington
Those coming from further can catch the Cockermouth X5/X4 and then the 29/29A at Workington to Whitehaven.
Anyone coming from the north of the county can catch the 300 from Carlisle

What is the weather going to be?
The fickle Cumbrian weather is only potential slip up, according to the Met Office it is clear and sunny with highs of 15C/16C on Saturday and 12C/13C on Sunday.
