Carlisle United has confirmed that Sporting Director Rob Clarkson has left the club with immediate effect.

Clarkson has left the club following the confirmation at it would be playing in the National League after relegation from the Football League.

A club spokesperson added: “Everyone at the club would like to thank Rob for his service and wish him well for the future.”

The club also confirmed a further update will be provided in due course.
