Part of the A595 had been closed due to a van fire, Cumbria Police have stated.

At 5:50pm, on Monday April 28, a report was make to Cumbria Police and Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service about a van fire in Bigrigg.

Emergency services are on scene dealing with the incident that took place Springfield Road, Bigrigg at the junction with Jubilee Gardens.

Police have stated that no one was injured during the incident.

The road reopened in the evening.
